Hello! I'm Kate. I'm the creator of Radical Self Care Project. I'm also a yoga teacher, women's circle facilitator and mum of two small humans.

Self-care is a hot topic right now, but given our busy lives, it can still be a struggle to nurture ourselves in a way that feels do-able, as opposed to just layering in another “to do” item.

First up, we need to get radical about reclaiming our well-being and protecting the well-being of women(and mothers) more generally. We need to wake up to the importance of community-care, caring for the carers and women’s birth rite to be committed to their own self-care and self-actualization without guilt or feeling overloaded. 

It’s matter of urgency that we re-claim our sovereignty and cultivate a heart-felt, guilt-free commitment to our own self-care and self-actualization. 

Because of Radical Self Care:

I am able to better navigate the demands of life. It's empowering knowing how to support myself to maintain stamina or release into exhaustion and rest; To pull myself out of a low mood or surrender to the tide rushing through me. Radical self-care, for me is ultimately about deep listening, reflecting and LOVE.

I have plenty of tools to help myself out but I'm also not afriad to ask for support when I need it! Because we need community, and sometimes it's up to us, as an act of radical self-care to pull our family and community close hand over what we can't manage ourselves.

It is my most fervent desire that everyone have access to tools and heart-felt resolve to practice sustainable self-care.

Last year when I began the radial self-care project with Kate & Meiche, I did not anticipate the powerful impact it would have on my life. At the time, I was about four-months postpartum with my second child. Life was mostly chaotic, overwhelming, exhausting, and demanding. Self-care was my life boat. It kept me afloat through the challenging times. I now know how vital it is to listen to my needs, nourish myself, and honor my own unique rhythm, personality, and passions. I am so grateful for this program. It was the catalyst I needed to live the life my heart and soul were yearning for.
